Thoughts from a soggy mind - best served Cold

This is my last night in Teluk Intan….well, for quite some time, anyway. My flight’s been confirmed: it’s on the 5th! That’s next Monday and since I’m goin 2kl 2moro, all of a sudden i’ve reached the last night i’ll spend in my own room for quite some time.

I mean, it’s nt quite the same when i left for taylors 18 months back, is it? I still had my aunt,uncle and granma 20mins away and home was only 3hours by bus. Coming back home 4times a year seemed quite frequent at that time. But now..i’m not gona come back till december!

After 19 years in Malaysia, i’m finally leaving home for a land far far away. How will it be? Will I be able to cope? I wonder…

For sure i’m gona miss my family, friends, food, and all the familiar sights and sounds. Just hope the homesickness won’t be too great. Ah well..i guess it’s a matter of adapting innit?

So as I type here so do the seconds tick away, counting down to the time when I inevitably must leave home to a whole new life, a brand new adventure.

I just hope for a good night’s sleep tonight. Then it’s Onward Australia!

I guess the title of this post pretty much sums up the beauty of my situation right now…Yes, this is probably my last week in Malaysia, but No…I’m not entirely sure.

The fact that JPA still can’t confirm the departure date for ANU students is making the task of saying my farewells kinda tough…I mean, i’m not even sure if I’m flying on the 5th or 12th!

anyway, I’ll Still most probably depart on the 5th so yeah..this may well be my last week in Malaysia. I duno wad lies ahead but i guess it’ll be best if i go wif an open mind and try 2absorb a totally new culture…

I’ll definitely miss many things here: my family, friends, the food, perhaps even d atmosphere that only Malaysia can produce…

Whatever it is, I’ll definitely try to just sit back and breath in my last 7 days of Malaysian air.

Then a whole new adventure beckons!

p/s: My luggage weighs 50kg! I wonder how i’m gonna cut it down to 20 as required by MAS…

I know I’m eight days late in welcoming 2007 but family n uni commitments meant that i kept delaying this post to d extent tht by d time i actuali have time for blogging, reviewing 2006 seems too tiring and previewing 2007 too cumbersome. So i guess i’ll just skip that =p

My granma’s bin sick for d past few weeks so it hasn’t bin much fun welcoming 2007. I mean, it’s juz another year rite? Wat’s all those shit bout resolutions, promises and whatnots when u’ve got Important stuff like the health of a family member at stake… I’m juz glad tht she’s getting btr each day, hopefully she’ll fully recover b4 i leave..

Speaking of leaving, I’ve finally got my offer of admission from ANU, now all i’ve gota do is wait for d eCoE and then settle my visa. Then i’m good to go Ahh…but life’s nt a bed of roses, is it? Got a jpa briefing to attend n it’s tentatively set "between 23 - 25 January".. Which day will it be on? Oh well, what’s life without a few surprises. Take my flight, for example.It’s "supposedly" on 5th February….

That means i have roughly 3 weeks left in Malaysia. Omg. Finally d realisation has hit tht i’ve gota leave soon. Honeymoon’s over n life in a land far far away is gona start before i noe wat’s hit me.

So what do i want in 2007? Nothing much really…I just hope i’ll b able to settle in well in Australia, everyone’s well and happy, may all things be pretty n nice, etc etc…

I guess that’s all le..
